Thanks for using our spaces and making exciting creative things happen! 

I wanted to pass on some feedback from the studio staff about how people have been using the studios recently. As you know we are a small team running a big building so everything you can do to help allows us to keep things running smoothly and keep room hire nice and cheap for you. 

If you could pass this message on to your groups we'd really appreciate it. 

1- Bikes - if you bring a bike to the studios please either bring it into the studio with you or lock it up outside. There is a large bike rack on Bury Street near our Browns Buildings entrance. Please don't leave your bikes/scooters in any communal spaces or corridors, it makes our space less accessible and creates a trip hazard. 

2- Food in studios - please don't eat in the studios, bottled water is fine. We've found vegetables, wrappers, crumbs and all sorts. You are welcome to eat in the communal areas and please clean up after yourselves. Especially as things are getting colder we don't want food lying around to attract any pests! 

 3 - Mess - Please leave your studio as you found it. If you find a studio in a less than ideal condition, please let us know as we will help clean it up and also contact the previous user. If you do make a mess in the studios, let us know so we can give you a hoover, broom, mop and cleaning materials. Please don't leave anything in studios or things stuck on the walls. Return any items you've borrowed from us and stack your chairs. If your studio needs extra cleaning time we may charge you additional time on your invoice, but we really hate doing that so would rather not. 

4 - Booking timings - Your booking time includes set up and pack down. Please check with reception if there is someone in directly before so you don't disturb them while it's still their turn. Please also leave the room on time so that the next group can get in or our team can tidy and re-set for the next day. 

5 - Empty rooms - Please don't use rooms you haven't booked - if you would like space on the day come and see reception and if we can accomodate you we will. You can also take advantage of our bargain rock up and rehearse rates of £5 per hour if you are a member. If a room is empty it may be that someone has booked it and is on break or is about to arrive. We are a charity and we rely on room bookings to sustain ourselves. 

6 - Communal areas - We know we are busy and don't always have rooms when you'd like (we're working on that!) but if you don't have a room booked please don't rehearse in the communal areas or use them as break out rehearsal spaces from your booked room. These spaces are meant to be for quiet co-working or break times. Read throughs and meetings are fine! Full rehearsals need to be kept to studio spaces. 

If you have any problems with another group, eg. they aren't leaving their room on time, a group is excessively noisy, or your room hasn't been left as you'd like to find it, please tell the person on reception. We are really happy to mediate and help you. We want to keep the studios the harmonious hub we know and love.
