About the role
Cate is a talented and confident composer and classically trained pianist. She carries herself with poise, kindness, and intelligence, always leaving an impression of competence. Her father, Leopold, was a monumental figure in her life and in the world of music, celebrated as one of the greatest composers and conductors of his generation. Since his passing, Cate has struggled with the weight of expectations, feeling the immense pressure to step into her father’s legacy. This internal conflict drives her sense of inadequacy despite her undeniable talent.
Note: No piano experience is required for this role, though it is a plus.
