I just wanted to get in touch about our Tiny Tim casting call for this year's revival of A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic. You may have already seen our flyer, but I just wanted to share the brief, as we will continue to take applications throughout the summer - and we'd be really grateful if you could share with your networks!

You'll find all the relevant information below, and a link to the webpage also. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

The Old Vic - A Christmas Carol

Casting for the role of Tiny Tim in the 2023/2024 revival of the Tony Award-winning A Christmas Carol is underway.

Tiny Tim is nine years old and has the extraordinary power to melt Scrooge’s (and the audience’s) heart.

We are looking for children aged 9+ and under 4’6”. In our production, the role of Tiny Tim has always been played by a child with a disability, so non-disabled applicants will not be considered. Our team will discuss any access requirements with you at the point of submission. The role will be shared between four children.

Audition workshops will take place across various dates over the summer and early autumn — please apply as soon as possible and share this with anyone who might know suitable children for this exciting project.

Availability: Rehearsals and performances will take place from Mon 02 Oct 2023–Sat 06 Jan 2024 inclusive, so it's important that you're available throughout this period

Location: Within a one-hour commute of The Old Vic is preferable

How to apply

In the video, please include the child’s name, the name and contact details of a parent or guardian and some information about the child and their interests.

Please specify at the point of application if the child has any access needs that we need to be aware of in order to facilitate an audition. You will also need to attach a recent photo of the child.

Deadline for applications: Friday 30 August 2023
