What do you get when you mix a warm cup of tea, a biscuit, and a haunted house?

You get Grave Matters.

A bittersweet, funny, spooky, and unexpectedly tender new play coming to the Lion & Unicorn Theatre as part of Camden Fringe 2026!

"Miss Y, a Mexican Catholic schoolteacher living in Cardiff, has been detained after being caught digging up a grave at dawn. She insists she had a good reason. The police would beg to differ."

Produced by Coatlicue Theatre, written by Mackie Reyes, and directed by Megan Brewer, Grave Matters uses the supernatural to explore grief, migration, and the strange, funny misunderstandings that happen when people from different worlds try to find common ground.

Come for the ghosts. Stay for the heart.
