Dear Deli Community!

This week we have a new installation in our Next Door window, check it out! Scroll on to read about the events we have this week.

New Installation Next Door!

Free exhibition in the window, 107 Leadenhall Street

Until 6th April

Who is Next Door? Valentine and Emeline are in the space next door, they are discovering the textile artist Mel Heneke Eliot, who left her materials to us when she died ten years ago. Peek into the room where we discover the found precious dyes, pigments and silks that Mel used when she worked as a fabric designer. This installation is our documentation of the process of dying and printing with these materials. Through active and embodied research we ask ourselves: what can we learn from this artist? How do materials hold memory? What is the value of experimentation today?

Find out more about Valentine and Emeline

Valentine Gigandet is an artist and designer working across participatory design, installations, and public art. Her practice is rooted in visual storytelling and a curiosity for how people connect with the places around them. Often beginning with a material experiment or a question, her research-led approach unfolds into sets, displays, and environments that invite people to look closer and take part. She also works as a creative facilitator in education, collaborating with residents, schools, and institutions to explore stories visually and make creativity more accessible.

Emeline Beroud is a designer and transdisciplinary artist working across theatre, film and fine art. Her design practice is rooted in eco, site-specific and sculptural processes. Emeline is delighted to be collaborating with Valentine Gigandet at Theatre Deli for the Next Door installation.
