SB Acting Studio is back!

First up is our Meisner Intensive Workshop. This is a full time 6-day workshop is designed to help professional actors divest themselves of editors, allowing them to freely connect to the emotional life of the character. Actors accomplish this through a process of active listening followed by a spontaneous and justifiable response. Our next Meisner Intensive Workshop will run daily from Monday, 16 through 21 September 2024 (10AM until 5PM).

This workshop is quickly followed up by our Scene Study I course, Character Action into Transaction. This exciting, newly revamped ten-week course focuses on helping professional actors create the most distinctive and compelling characters possible through the Immediate Acting Technique. This technique is a hybrid of the very best aspects of 20th and 21st century acting methods developed by our founder, Stephen C. Buckwald. This course will help participants develop and deepen their skills in Researching, Analysing, and Performing characters that will both challenge and stretch their acting abilities. This course is delivered within a flexible timetable of both online and in-person classes and tutorials. It runs weekly beginning Monday, 7 October and finishing on Monday, 9 December 2024.
