At Edinburgh Fringe 2024, Carmen Collective stunned audiences with Lessons On Revolution, a sell-out show at the prestigious Summerhall, which gained the full ★★★★★ from The Scotsman and The Morning Star, and was described by The Stage’s esteemed international editor Natasha Tripney as ‘one of my favourites of this year’s Fringe’.
Just a few months later, the acclaimed company is returning to the stage at Camden People’s Theatre, with an explosive new piece of documentary theatre, The Food Bank Show. This powerful production unpacks the stark reality of food poverty in the UK, where over three million people now rely on food banks for survival.
Carmen Collective are proud to present this production as part of CPT’s The State We’re In Festival, a curated series of shows responding to the political climate in the UK right now.
Created by acclaimed theatre-maker Sam Rees, The Food Bank Show invites audiences to an evening of anarchic storytelling filled with rage, hope, and radical conversation.
And yes, there will be pizza.
